Overview

The 3 Days Uganda gorilla safari offers you a great opportunity to encounter the might gorillas face to face in their territory Bwindi National Park. Bwindi Impenetrable forest is one of the biggest rain forests in Uganda and is most times referred to as the impenetrable forest due to the dense thick vegetation that makes it quite tough to trek through. The park lies in the southwestern region of Uganda on the edge of the East African Rift valley being home to over half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. Thousands of visitors crowd this park to do gorilla trekking, nature walks, bird watching, hiking and so much more. From here we will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park¸ Uganda’s smallest but richest savanna park where you will be able to encounter animals like giraffes¸ zebras¸ elands¸ impalas and warthogs.

Day 01 :

TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After having an early breakfast¸ you will be briefed by the guide about the 3days safari. You will then set off from your hotel as you embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National park driving through Masaka-Mbarara highway¸ enjoy the stunning landscape sceneries along the way. Enjoy a wonderful stopover at the Uganda Equator for photographs¸ continue to Mbarara town for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre. Immediately after lunch¸ proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park upon arrival you will then proceed to the lodge for check-in¸ dinner and overnight.

Day 02 :

GORILLA TREKKING & TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO

After having an early morning breakfast¸ head to the park headquarters for briefing about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking by the ranger guides before embarking on your gorilla trek. Head in the forest and the trek until you find the gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 2 to 8 hours depending to the movement of the gorillas. After finding the Gorillas in Bwindi¸ you will be given only 1 hour to observe and take photographs with them¸ creating unforgettable memories. Following the trek¸ return to the park headquarters to collect your well-earned gorilla trekking certificate. You will go back to the lodge for a late lunch. You will then check-out at the lodge.

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy viewing the beautiful scenery along the lake in the evening. Lake Mburo is notably blessed with over 315 bird spaces and probably the best place to view acacia- associated birds. Check into the safari lodge for an overnight.

Day 03 :

LAKE MBURO: GAME DRIVE¸BOAT CRUISE & TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

After breakfast, embark on a scenic game drive through Lake Mburo National Park, where your experienced guide will help you spot and identify a wide variety of birds, reptiles, and mammals—some of which you might otherwise miss. Feel free to ask questions and learn fascinating insights about Uganda’s rich wildlife. Next, enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise on Lake Mburo, home to a range of water-loving creatures such as hippos, crocodiles, zebras, and numerous bird species. The serene waters and abundant wildlife make for an unforgettable experience.

After the boat cruise, you'll enjoy lunch before concluding your safari with a final game drive through the park. Take in the last views of the savanna before beginning your return journey to Kampala, which takes approximately 5 hours.
