Semuliki National Park is a home to over 400 bird species, unique primates, and the famous Sempaya Hot Springs, Semuliki offers an authentic wilderness experience. Whether you’re a seasoned birder, wildlife enthusiast, Semuliki promises a rare and rewarding adventure.

Day 01 :

TRANSFER TO SEMULIKI NATIONAL PARK

Wake up early and meet your driver guide who will brief you about your 3-day Safari. Transfer to Semuliki National Park on the way you will have a stopover at the equator to take photos and buy souvenirs and proceed the journey with enroute lunch in Fort portal town after continue for a visit to Amebere ga Nyina Mwiru caves and listen to the stories behind it. After that check in the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 02 :

SHOEBILL, GAME DRIVE AND SEMPAYA HOTSPRINGS

Have breakfast and head out to view the Shoebill by boat along Semuliki River¸ The shoebill is a large¸ striking bird known for its massive¸ shoe-shaped bill¸ which is where it gets its name. These birds are quite rare considered a key attraction for bird watchers visiting Semuliki National Park. They’re typically found in the park’s wetlands and swampy areas¸ especially around semuliki River. After that you can embark on the spectacular scenery rewarding game drive where you will view animals when they are most active you will have great views of animals like elephants buffaloes waterbucks, warthogs ,busbucks and Uganda kobs and some of the rarely spotted animals such as hyenas and leopards if you’re lucky and a variety of different bird species baboons and the white and black colobus monkey after this head to the lodge for lunch and after that head out to explore the famous Sempaya Hot Springs. These geothermal wonders are divided into two sections the “Male” (Biteete) and “Female” (Nyasimbi) hot springs where temperatures can reach over 100°C. A pool of boiling water where visitors can even boil eggs and bananas within minutes.

Your guide will share traditional stories and cultural significance associated with the hot springs, offering a fascinating insight into local beliefs. After that you will head for your journey back to Kampala.
