3 Day Sipi Falls Abseiling & Mbale City Cultural Tour

After an early breakfast, you will be briefed by the guide about the 3-days safari. You will then set off from your hotel as you embark on the journey to Sipi-Mbale. You’ll head east along the Jinja highway, passing through lush countryside, towns, and roadside markets. Enjoy a wonderful stopover at Mabira Forest for a short nature walk. Shortly after the nature walk, continue to Sipi Falls with a stopover again for lunch. Immediately after lunch, proceed up the slopes of Mt. Elgon to the picturesque Sipi Falls area. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and relax for a bit before heading out for a scenic sunset walk. This guided walk takes you to the “Top of the World” viewpoint, where you’ll witness incredible panoramic views of the Karamoja plains and valley below.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Start your day with breakfast overlooking the rolling hills of Mt. Elgon. Afterward, set out on a guided hike to the three Sipi waterfalls. The hike usually takes around 3 to 4 hours and follows footpaths through local villages, coffee plantations, and forest trails. Each waterfall offers a unique view and experience, with the tallest reaching up to 100 meters.

After completing the hike, have lunch and a short break. In the afternoon, gear up for the abseiling experience. With the help of trained guides and safety-certified equipment, you’ll descend the cliff next to the main Sipi Falls - a 100-meter vertical drop with a thrilling spray of mist around you. No experience is needed, just a brave spirit!

Later in the day, enjoy a visit to a nearby Sebei village. Here, you’ll engage with the local community, learn about traditional customs, and participate in a cultural dance performance.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening of rest.

After an early breakfast, check out and begin your journey down the mountain toward Mbale City. Once in the city, embark on a short-guided tour to explore its cultural and historical landmarks. Have lunch in Mbale before starting your journey to Jinja Source of the River Nile. Visit Source of the longest river in the world before ending your trip in Kampala or Entebbe.
