Overview

Embark on this 5-day tour that will take you to Kidepo Valley National Park home to diverse species, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and rare birds like the ostrich, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers, then to Murchison Falls National Park. You will get to do quite a number of activities not forgetting the rhinos in ziwa rhino sanctuary, explore the wonders of Murchison falls National Park.

Day 01 :

TRANSFER TO KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by our driver guide who will brief you about your day’s safari. On your way to Kidepo national park, you will continue the journey with en-route lunch in Gulu town after you will continue the journey with spectacular and incredible views of the beautiful landscape, homesteads, and local people among others. Upon arrival in Kidepo, you will check into the hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 02 :

GAME DRIVE AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive through the Narus Valley, this game drive will enable you to be in full sight of varieties of birds as well. It’s one of the places in Uganda that most cats like lions, cheetahs & leopards can be seen compared to other parks. Have lunch and then drive to a nearby village for a community experience. Explore their traditional dwellings, known as manyattas, you will also be able to see some of their traditional tools, crafts and jewelry. You will also be invited for a vigorous leaping dance with these jolly individuals.

Day 03 :

MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Get up early in the morning for a morning Game drive through the park, you will be able to view various animals such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, giraffes, lions, and also different bird species among others. After Lunch, you will and embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park proceed to the lodge for check-in, relaxation and overnight.

Day 04 :

GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE

Wake up early, have breakfast and set off by 6:00am for the game drive. The drive gives possibilities of catching the early risers and big cats in action before they retire to their havens. Other animals you will see during the drive include Lake Chad buffaloes, African elephants, Lelwel’s hartebeest, Nubian giraffes, oribis among other species. Common bird species include the Goliath heron, African skimmer and the Red-throated bee eater.

Shortly after lunch head for a launch cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the falls. This water safari will expose you to schools of hippos, Nile crocodile busking by the river side and different bird species and other wildlife drinking water at the shores. Depending on the fatigue, you can choose to head back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 05 :

ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY AND RETURN TO KAMPALA

Wake up early and have breakfast, you will proceed to the park and visit the top of the falls. This site gives spectacular views of some parts of the park as well as Murchison falls, then proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will meet the site guide and get a briefing before heading to the bush in search of the rhinos. The tracking will take approximately 3 hours. Proceed with your journey and have lunch along the way to Kampala.
