Baha’i TEMPLE (BAHÁʼÍ HOUSE OF WORSHIP)

After an early breakfast, the guide will pick you at any place of convenience in Kampala, you will be guided and briefed about the day’s tour. Start your day with a visit to Bahai Temple located Kanyanya which is about 3km north of Kampala city center and just about 7km along Gayaza road. It was officially opened in 1961. It was built on Kikaaya hill which is one of the most prominent hills in Kampala which offers tranquil gardens and spiritual calmness. It has Peaceful grounds, unique architecture, and birdwatching opportunities.

Morning :

WANDEGEYA MARKET

Transfer to wandegeya market, known for its lively atmosphere and a wide variety of goods. Wandegeya is particularly popular for its street food and local fashion scene. As you walk through the market, you’ll encounter vibrant fabrics, handmade jewelry, and street vendors offering tasty snacks like fried plantains, chapati rolls, and rolex a popular Ugandan street food. BUGANDA KINGDOM PALACE (LUBIRI PALACE)

TRANSFER TO GADDAFI NATIONAL MOSQUE

Gadaffi National Mosque which was opened officially in June 2007 and was funded by the late Libyan president Muammar Gadaffi. You will be guided to Gaddafi mosque where you are required to wear modestly, it is Located on Kampala Hill, this mosque is one of the largest in East Africa and offers incredible 360-degree views of Kampala from the minaret. It accommodates thousands of people.

BUGANDA ROAD CRAFT MARKET

Visit the Buganda Road Craft Market, a great spot to discover Uganda’s rich tradition of handmade crafts. The market is well-known for its wide selection of authentic Ugandan souvenirs, including hand-carved wooden sculptures, beautiful beadwork, intricate jewelry, and colorful fabrics. Here, you can also find Ugandan baskets, mats, and woven goods, perfect for souvenirs or gifts. It’s an excellent opportunity to interact with local artisans, learn about the materials used, and take home unique handmade items.

Evening :

INDEPENDENCE MONUMENT

Next, head to the Independence Monument, an important national symbol commemorating Uganda’s independence from British colonial rule in 1962. The monument stands tall in the heart of the city, offering insight into Uganda’s journey to independence. located in a park-like setting near the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. This is a great spot for photos and a short historical reflection on Uganda’s past.
